Cherisse Kovacs
MC, Registered Provisional Psychologist
My name is Cherisse Kovacs, and I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist. I graduated with a Master's of Counselling from Athabasca University in 2020. Prior to entering into the field of psychology, I was a Social Worker and spent most of my career working directly with children, youth, and families. As a therapist, I assist individuals (6+) struggling to cope with anxiety, depression, grief, and anger. I have experience helping individuals overcome challenges related to managing multiple life stressors (i.e., parenting and relationship issues; difficulties finding work/life balance; caring for aging parents; etc.). I also have experience working with individuals struggling with ADHD and emotional regulation issues.
My approach as a therapist is client-centred, solution-focused, and relationship based. I believe you are the expert in your own life. The alliance we form together in therapy can assist you to work through presenting issues, helping you to work toward reaching your individual potential. If you have questions about therapy, feel free to book a complimentary 10-minute consultation and inquire about the therapeutic process. I would be happy to connect with you and discuss your goals in therapy.
Cherisse works out of the WPS Sherwood Park office and is currently accepting new clients.
